The SeaWatch Dive Shop was born from the idea that every newly qualified diver has a need to buy diving equipment. The first store opened in Budapest in 2003. This shop was only 50m2 and in addition to selling equipment, it was also possible to rent equipment and have it serviced. The second shop opened in 2004 in Veszprém. This shop was twice as big as the Budapest one and the same services were available. In response to the high demand and as a national representative of several brands, we merged our stores and opened the largest dive store in Central-Eastern Europe in July 2007, in the XIX district of Budapest, on 2 floors, almost 700m2. 2025 was another milestone in our life, when we moved to a more modern building in the XXI district. In the new location we are looking to expand with a larger stock and new brands.
We are the regional representative of SSI Scuba Schools International and the distributor of many diving equipment brands in the region. We have been in the same location for over 15 years, constantly expanding our brand and product range to meet the needs of as many customers as possible.
We launched our first webshop in 2008, which was focused exclusively on sales in Hungary. At the beginning of 2013 we opened our new webshop, which was multilingual and targeted Romania, outside Hungary. With this new webshop, we saw such a big boom in online sales that it was worth thinking about development and growth. In December 2022, our shop underwent a major update and development, which led to the launch of version 2.0, so that we can now serve orders from any country in the EU. Our momentum continues, our webshop is constantly evolving and we are constantly expanding our range. New for 2023 are pool products and accessories.
